As i am still riding a Audi A6 1,9tdi Diesel,i experience so often the zero injektion rolling at forseen stops or litte downhills, i am not sure that the Tesla S can keep his movement energie always in allmost complete use .If there is only one quantaty speedreductive ,decellerative (brakeing) power on the E-generating Motor (Recuperation ),there would result no perfekt movementenergie keeping .At the Diagram Watt/ml shows at speed less than 10 mi/h an increase of Consumption to mile.
Few people in BRD riding EVs noticed the sudden and strong braking when stepping off the driving pedal .
i imagine even if you minimize the step on the pedal,it results in a state of poor eficiency.
i hope the Motormenagement engineers have a thought on a very driving-situation adaption.
it certainly needs an extreme sensitive continously regulating device and might include the sensing of
up and down hill street degree .
the inverse decreasing efficiency at low speed and probably at decelerating conditions would be disadvantagous to a carburativ car up to the momemt you press the clutch.

Dear Volker an Teslas .Latest notice after my by volker translated issue:
i made a simple mistake when finding out the promotive Energie in my Audi A6
40% degree of efficiey at 40 m/h ; means 4,20L x 40% is 1,76 L /100Km
the content of Kwh is 10,4 / 1 Liter Dieseloil , so it is about 18,5 KW / 100 km .
At 30% its still 14,5 Kw/ 100Km.
This is not that good like the Tesla!
You proceeded very good in easy going of your vehicels.
