I just took delivery one week ago. this morning I got the message that there is a new software update. scheduled to start 19 hours from now and should take 45 min. anything else I need to know or do?
Usually sets for 2am - you can do it sooner if you known you won't need to drive the car for an hour or so. The car may behave stangely during the update (lights flash etc.) so don't be alarmed.
Recent updates have taken a lot less than 45 min, but best to allow plenty of time to be on the safe side - so if you need the car in the next 15 min don't start the update.
It may start singing, "Daisy, Daisy, Give me your answer, do; ..." ;p
Never make to 2 am.
Almost always update at lunch in the office parking lot.
Have been through 6 updates or so since last October
You'll be fine
thanks everyone! I could not wait for 2am, so I pushed on the the timer thingy on the top and set it to install now. no problems! got to see some lights blink on and off and various call tesla messages.
I cannot tell now what has happened after the software update, it seems to perform the same as before (1.33.54 version now)
If you tap the 'T' logo at the top of the screen, you will see a link to 'Release Notes' which will explain what has been chagned since the last release.
Unfortunately, you won't be able to see the history of all of the changes. It only shows the most recent changes.
And often not much about those. Some changes are apparently too "trivial" to document. Hmm.
