The Y has a 50 meter outdoor pool that is open from approximately April 15 to the last week end in October. That’s where I did my 3,000 meters today.
I have been a member there for over 30 years and the current management are failing to try maintain the Christian ideals upon which the Y was founded. Recently, they told a long time handicapped member they would no longer allow him to park where he has parked for 10 or so years and would no longer send a staff member with wheel chair to help him enter the facility he calls his second home. The new Executive Director was quoted as saying the “The Y is for families and children."
Sorry, I recognize this is not an appropriate forum to air my anger over UMLY’s treatment of our older citizens but what the Heck.
