Even though Nissan made some strategic mistakes with the 'Leaf' (optimizing for price, not for experience), I would confidently consider Ghosn a genius, particularly in identifying trends and communicating them in a clear, easily understood manner.
One takeaway question from the talk could be, how do you maintain 'safety' and 'connectivity' in a car, when the two demands are, at least to some degree conflicting (taking into consideration distraction)?
This is a Tesla forum, of course, but I would consider it self – evident that most of the topics discussed have much relevance to Tesla as well.
