So I used the web form to request a test drive a week ago. They'll generally get back in 1-2 days, I'm informed.
Nothing yet. And no, the reply wasn't eaten by a spam filter; I run my own spam filter (Barracuda 200) and checked.
So I request a call from the San Jose store a couple of days ago. Nothing yet, and they're not picking up their phone this morning.
Next would be the Fremont store. Ah, I see they're not even open to the public; really: it's "by appointment only."
You know, I'm starting to really regret signing that petition at whitehouse.gov. I can go to any BMW, Jaguar, Audi, Mercedes, etc. dealer and drive any car on the lot TODAY. But with Tesla, it seems I have to...well, I don't know what, really, since I haven't even been able to talk to anyone about a test drive. Offer burnt sacrifices? Approach on bended knee?
Whatever the problem is, it's got me seriously re-evaluating my interest. I wonder what the service experience would be like.
